ABOUT ELIZA
Burlesque artist, Eliza DeLite has been dazzling audiences across the globe since 2008. From Stockholm to Chicago, Rome to New Orleans and countless bustling cities in between. Eliza has disrobed on some of the world’s most revered burlesque and cabaret stages including New York’s Duane Park and Berlin’s Wintergarten eatre. Outside of her residencies in Soho.
 
ABOUT THESE TWO LOOKS/ ACTS
Both looks have been drawn from the iconic stylings of Golden era Holly- wood’s Hedy Lamar, in the 1939 MGM musical spectacular “Ziegfeld Girl”.
Look 1 (white star gown)
 
Eliza wears a painstakingly handcra ed replica of the legendary white star gown and headdress worn by Lamarr.
 
Created in 2019 with costumiers House of Flying Stitches, Fern Bereen Millinery and hand embellished by Eliza herself, this look oozes the ethe- real magic of old Hollywood. Graceful yet commanding, meters of so white chi on, ow from the arms and cape of the dress. Mirrored stars form a twinkling halo.
e gown’s silhouette is iconic of the late 1930’s / early 1940’s, with its strong shoulders and nipped in waist. Hundreds of tiny silver stars adorn the look, almost identical in detail to the 1939 original designed by Hollywood costumier Gilbert Adrian.
 
Look 2 (Blue showgirl corseted bodysuit)
 
Evoking the glamor of the Hollywood chorus line, this corseted bodysuit in silver-blue raw silk was constructed by Jem Corsets (conceptualized and embellished by Eliza DeLite). Trimmings and Swarovski crystals were hand sewn to create the illusion of jewels dripping o the body.  A glittering star emblazons the centre of the piece as the heart of the ensemble. e high leg – design of the bodysuit, a nod to the old showgirl costumes of the era. Rhinestone encrusted shoes complete the look.
